Baby Mush

Recently Karen started making Alden’s baby food, entitled “Baby Mush.” A recipe created by Dr. Denmark, a pediatrician in Atlanta that is now 110 years old. (She stopped practicing when she was around 104 years old.) Karen’s friend, Elicia gave her the recipe and Alden has been in love at first taste. Here are some pictures Caroline took of a couple of his first feedings.

Oh My How We Have Changed!

Sometimes it is hard to see the physical changes of our children since we interact with them every minute. However, when we look back at pictures it is truly amazing how much they have changed. William is definitely a testimony of how quickly they mature and develop. The pictures were taken at 6 months, 18 months, and 30 months.

Let it Snow!

The past few days we have enjoyed the winter storm that blasted its way through our area. The kids had fun the night it arrived by playing in the snow with dad's shovel and making snow angels. The next morning we tried to make a snowman, but the layer of ice made it extra hard.

Sweet Caroline

Caroline has really developed into a big helper around the house. Since Christmas she has really been trying harder in obeying the first time and assisting her mommy with the baby. Even her preschool teacher has commented on her new "helping" attitude.

Happy Half Birthday

Today Alden is six month's old. He is such a delight to our family. We feel so blessed to have him as the fourth addition to our family. Right now he is suffering with an ear infection, but is still his happy self.

Same Song Second Verse

It is amazing how much our boys are looking alike. Every day Alden is looking more and more like his brother.

The picture on the left is Alden and the right is William (with a much cleaner "doogie").

More Christmas Fun

We had lots of fun making and decorating Christmas cookies. Of course, the best part was eating them. Our friend, Denise, came over and helped us make a gingerbread house. Caroline liked licking the royal icing the best.

Christmas Recovery

It took about a month to recover from Christmas but it was so much fun. My oldest child asked me this morning, "How much longer until Christmas comes again"? I am glad it is over but we have some fun pictures to share from our celebration at Christmas. The girls were sheep in their school's Christmas program. They recited Scripture and sang "Away in a Manger."

Christmas Celebration

Christmas was such a fun celebration this year. We had several friends over Christmas Eve night for some food and sweet fellowship. Christmas morning was full of suprises. After reading the nativity story, the kids enjoyed tearing into presents from their parents and friends. That morning we drove to our friends' house for Christmas brunch in our pajamas. It was fun starting our own Christmas traditions even away from home. The day after Christmas we drove to Alabama to spend time with beloved family. This was definitely a Christmas to remember.
